I'm Rachel - the hands (and heart!) behind Clarty Hands Crafts, a cosy corner of the internet where I share my love for all things shabby-chic, vintage, and junk journal related. Whether it's through blog posts or videos, this site is all about inspiring others to overcome perfectionism, get creative, and make something just for the fun of it.

I've been immersed in the world of junk journaling for over 10 years. I have fixated on many different handmade crafts over the years, but junk journaling is the one that has stuck. What started as a small hobby has grown into a real passion—and even a business. Creating with paper, lace, ephemera, and a little bit of chaos has brought me so much happiness, and I love showing others how to find that same spark.

When I'm not crafting, I'm a single mum to my lovely 9-year-old boy, and I also work as a primary school teaching assistant. Life is busy and full, but creativity has always been my grounding space.
